We’re gearing up for the holidays, I know can you believe it's almost December! This month, we’re excited to be participating again in Little Boxes, a Portland-wide shopping event that takes place the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
On a day traditionally dominated by big box retailers, it’s easy for independently owned small businesses to get lost in the shuffle. Three years ago, a few of the city’s boutique shop owners pooled resources to offer prizes and discounts to consumers who shopped a network of participating “Little Box” stores. This year, shoppers have the option to navigate participating shops using an iPhone app (yay, technology!), with chances to win raffle prizes including a travel package, an iPad, and a $600 shopping spree to the Little Boxes (and hey, if you miss that, there’s still a chance to win $400 or $200 sprees). It’s free to enter; just head into any participating shop on 11/29 – 11/30 to claim a raffle ticket. Make a purchase to earn bonus entries and unlock a 10% discount at the next Little Box on your list. The more shops you visit, the more chances you have to win!
We believe that shopping Little Boxes is a great way to find unique gifts for everyone on your list, have fun with your family and friends, and–just maybe–win some pretty incredible prizes, all by taking a stroll in Portland’s best shopping districts.
