In the middle of winter, it's hard to take your shoes off, but that's exactly what you'll want to do to maintain the sensory capabilities of your feet. When feet are exposed to air, textured surfaces, and direct pressure for a least a couple of hours a day, they can do a better job. Learn how to treat them right and they'll keep your from tripping oer the curb or stepping in that puddle. They'll even help you hurry to catch the bus!

City Repair's Earth Day Celebration 4/25/09

Even though it wasn't the sunniest or warmest of days, City Repair's Earth Day Celebration last Saturday was a blast.  It was great to see familiar faces and shoes... (thanks to everyone who came to our booth to show us the shoes they got from our store, it really made our day!) It was also great to talk to people who are new to our store and concept, but mostly it was fun just enjoying the festivities of the day. The talking Robot with gardening advise was very cool and very funny at the same time.  We also want to thank Try Vegan PDX an outreach group that helps people transitioning into a vegan lifestyle, who joined us in our booth on Saturday. They brought some tasty treats from Sweet Pea Bakery.  It is always fun when we can do event that gets us out of the store, it is just an added bonus when the event has great music and really awesome veggie hotdogs. (mmmm, what a treat!)
