Gift Guide #1 - Accessories: Bags, Sock and Other Goodies

For our first holiday gift guide of the season we thought we would focus on the non-footwear goodies we have at the shop, accessories! These items, such as socks and bags can be great small stocking stuffers or larger ticket items depending on who's on your list and your budget.

1. Socks
I don't know about you, but I love getting socks for gifts. When it comes to socks we have a little something for everyone on your list.

Injinji Performance Toe Socks:
These make the perfect gift for the barefoot enthusiast or the Fivefinger runner in your life. If you are into foot health and increasing your toe spread these are the socks for you and trust me you always need more than one pair.  We have options ranging from wool to uber thin liners as well as crew length and no-show styles. Price: $16 - $10

Wool socks never fail to please and our Goodhew Cashmerino Bamboo blend socks for women are no exception. Fun colors, soft on the foot and durable are a good combination. Plus we now have wool tights too!  We also have options for the men in your life, with two packs and single socks in work appropriate colors. Price: $39 (for tights) - $16

2. Correct Toes
Correct Toes are a locally made toe splint that prevent and cure foot problems without surgery, orthotics or medication. This is a great item for the person on your list that has complained about hammertoes, bunions, neuromas or plantar fasciosis and doesn't want to go the foot surgery route.   Each box comes with two pairs of Correct Toes as well as an instruction guide on the best way to wear them for the best results. Correct Toes can realign your toes to their natural position and achieve optimal foot health. Curious? For more information on Correct Toes check out www.nwfootankle.com. Make it a complete stocking stuffer when you paired them with Injinji toe socks. Price: $65, Sizes: S/M or M/L

3. Earthbound Insoles & Grangers Waterproofing Products
Spenco Earthbound insoles and Grangers waterproofing products are for the practical & eco-conscious person on your list.

Spenco Earthbound Insoles:
Know someone who loves to wear special insoles with extra arch support and cushion, but doesn't want to throw more plastic in our landfills? Then a pair of Spenco Earthbound replacement insoles might be the perfect gift. These insoles contain 55% recycled & renewable materials and don't come in one of those hard to open plastic packages. Not skimping on support you will get big performance out of these insoles with a little footprint. They also come with a one-year unconditional guarantee.
Price: $44

Grangers Waterproofing Products:
In Oregon it rains a lot and while a lot of people opt to spend more money on already waterproofed footwear, you can upgrade your current kicks with a little waterproofing spray or balm.  Most waterproofing agents are pretty chemical laden and can change the color and texture of the material they are applied on.  Not, Grangers waterproofing products! They are environmentally responsible, water-based & biodegradable. Grangers products can be used on all kinds of leathers and fabrics. They won't change the color or texture of your shoes and provide maximum waterproofing while maintaining breathability. Score! Price: $15-10

4. Bags, Wallets & Hats
Leaving the best for last, bags, wallets & hats! A little more of a personal gift, picking the perfect bag for your favorite person can be fun. Though if your not careful can end in one of those situations when you end up buying one for yourself too.

Keen Bags:
Made in the USA, all our Keen messenger bags and wallets are from Keen's Harvest collection and made from repurposed and recycled pre-consumer airbags.  Bags & wallets come in two colors white or forest green and are waterproof.  Because of the material used they are very easy to clean and super durable. Each of the messenger bags are signed on the inside label by the person who assemble them.
Price: $120- $25

5th Season Design:
Eco-friendly, upcycled handbags custom made by hand here in Portland. 5th Season transforms unloved & unused materials into something you will love and use everyday.  Impeccably designed and crafted a 5th Season handbag or pouch is perfect for anyone on your list.  Made with discarded burlap sacks from coffee roasting and other found fabrics each bag is one of a kind. Price: $68-$15

Keen wallets, 5th Season & Crystalyn Kae

Waterproof and washable you won't be surprised that these are handmade in Seattle. Super durable, a Crystalyn Kae bag will last you 5 years + and still look as good as the day you bought it. We have several different styles and colors in stock. Price: $165-$25

Keen Messenger bag, Crystalyn Kae bags/clutch, Bunny Huggins Hats & 5th Season
